Rustic sourdough, a testament to time-honored tradition, captivates with its rugged charm and complex flavor profile. Crafted with patience and expertise, each loaf boasts a golden-brown crust that crackles under pressure, revealing a tender, chewy interior. The tangy aroma of fermentation mingles with notes of warm, nutty undertones, inviting anticipation with every slice. Its irregular shape and rustic scoring speak of artisanal craftsmanship, while the tangy taste of sourdough culture adds depth to each bite. Whether enjoyed slathered with creamy butter or paired with savory accompaniments, rustic sourdough embodies the rustic simplicity and timeless allure of artisanal bread-making.

Option 1: Best Quality (Recommended)

Bake from frozen

Preheat oven to 180°C (fan 170°C).
Remove all plastic packaging.
Lightly spray or run the loaf under water for 2–3 seconds (optional but helps create a crisp crust).
Place directly on the oven rack or on a baking tray.
Bake for 20–25 minutes.
Check the center:
Internal temperature should be 90–95°C if using a thermometer.
Or tap the bottom—it should sound hollow.
Let it rest 10–15 minutes before slicing. This allows the crumb to set.

Option 2: Thaw First
Leave at room temperature for 2–3 hours.
Bake at 180°C for 8–12 minutes.

This uses less energy but the crust won't be quite as crisp.

Option 3 : Already sliced
Toast directly from frozen in a toaster.
Or oven at 180°C for 5–8 minutes.
